$5,000 to the Nicole Richardson Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award
As we approach our reunion, we have a special opportunity to come together as a class and help build the endowment for the Nicole Richardson Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award. Nicole was a beloved classmate and a dedicated member of Oregon Law’s Pro Bono Executive Board. She was instrumental in developing “Street Law,” a community outreach program which educates high school students and low-income tenants about basic legal rights. Shortly after Nicole’s death, her family donated funds to endow the award, which is given annually to an Oregon law student whose pro bono work has made a significant positive impact on the community.
At our reunion, the Class of 2004 would like to make a $5,000 contribution to this wonderful award. If 100 members of our class will contribute at least $50 by September 11, 2009, we’ll achieve our goal. We will then send a letter to Nicole’s family informing them about our gift. Please consider joining us in this worthy effort.
