Goal: 100% participation; $30/month for a year.
When we were in law school, the taxpayers of the State of Oregon primarily funded our professional education. From the fall of 1976 to the spring of 1979, in-state students averaged only $1,470 per year in tuition expenses and out-of-state students paid only $1,626 per year. In shocking contrast, graduates of the Class of 2009 paid an average of $19,618 per year (in-state) and $24,423 (out-of-state). Taxpayer support for public education has all but evaporated and the school needs our help.
Because of
the continued decrease in state funding and the need for financial flexibility, the steering
committee members of the Class of 1979's 30-year reunion have selected the Dean's Fund as the destination of its class gift.
If our entire class commits to giving only $30 a month for a year, we would raise over $50,000 for the Dean's Fund. We believe that 100% of our class can contribute and that we can reach this goal by the end of 2009.
Please consider joining
us in
this worthy effort.
On the on-line form, indicate the total amount you wish to contribute under the "Designation 1" field. For multiple payments, select the appropriate radio button under the "Gift Payment" section. You can also contribute to this fund on the reunion registration form. |
