Enjoy a 9 1/2 mile, 3 hour river rafting trip from Finn Rock to Helfrich on the McKenzie River. Includes lunch and transportation.

For families and groups, this a good introduction to rafting the McKenzie River. The first three miles will be be gentle while rafters get used to the river. Then come the rapids and lots of wet, white water excitement. Lunch will follow at Silver Creek. Several rapids later is Brown's Hole that drops into a pool of effervescent turquoise water. Meandering through a few more rapids will bring you to the most famous rapid on the McKenzie River: "Marten's" - a class III rapid with lots of rocks, waves, and hydraulics. Maneuvering skills honed over the past nine miles will get you through. A local photographer often waits to get your picture there; truly the exclamation point of the trip. Email Rachel Johnson if someone in your group is less than 90 lbs or more than 250 lbs so the company accommodate the rafter with the correct life vest.

Dress to get wet!  Good fist layer includes shorts, tee-shirt, old shoes.  For colder days, a fleece or rain clothes.  (Guides will have dry bags for extra clothes.)  Avoid cotton if possible.  Bring sunscreen, hat, water bottle and a change of clothes.  If you're on medication, bring it.
