The University of Oregon Law School Alumni Association will be presenting Court of Appeals Judge Hon. Ellen Rosenblum ('75), and Publisher of Willamette Week, Richard Meeker ('74), with the 2010 Frohnmayer Award for Public Service.  

Hon. Ellen Rosenblum served on the Multnomah County Circuit Court bench from 1988 until she joined the Court of Appeals in 2005.  Judge Rosenblum has given generously of her time and expertise to the legal community.  She has served on the ABA House of Delegates, the Oregon Judicial Conference, the Campaign for Equal Justice Advisory Committee, the board of the Law School Alumni Association, and many other esteemed organizations.

Richard Meeker publishes Willamette Week, which is known for its investigative journalism.  WW also has raised and donated hundreds of thousands of dollars for the benefit of Portland non-profits through its annual Give!Guide.  Along with classmate Paul Nelson, Mr. Meeker also led an initiative for Oregon Law alumni to "repay" their total law school tuition dollars for endowed scholarships.  Several classes have adopted this program as a "class gift."  Mr. Meeker serves on the Dean's Advisory Council and is the former president of the Law School Alumni Association.
